No. Discs are the best quality you can get. Least amount of compression by a country mile, and high-fidelity surround tracks. No banding, aliasing, moire, macro-blocking, etc... Studio or streaming service can't censor or edit the movie after the fact, such as adding hair over Daryl Hannah's ass in Splash. Only faggots don't collect their faves on blu-ray or 4K blu-ray. You aren't a real cinephile if you rely on streaming.

What are the "other manners"? Unless it's watching your own or downloaded isos it remuxes then you have no excuse for settling for degraded experience (streaming presumably) when a superior solution sits on your shelf.

There are two factors at play here:
>how much of your income you spend on collectables
>how much you make your collectables apart of your identity
If you aren't getting in the way of other expenses by collecting and aren't making it into your whole personality, you're nowhere near mentally ill
