It had some pretty visuals and some nice jokes but other than that it's just a generic capeshit with a boring lead. In fact, it feels even more kiddish than usual capeshit. Don't see how any grown men can find any value in it.

I rewatch it again recently and outside of the cool animation it really doesn't have much going for it.
The characters are ok but theres too many of them and the movie clearly dosen't know how to jungle them on top of the pacing not helping this case either

Yes and it still is. The animation still has yet to be topped. Every character is very strongly writted. The plot is surprisingly solid considering the goofy premise. It's kino from start to finish. It's one of the best capeshit films as well as the one of the best animated ones.
So a movie for kids 9/10
Movie for adults 6/10
