Who's the greatest living director?

Who's the greatest living director?
Please consider their entire career, not just their most recent films in the past decade or two.

>Tarantino above anything
Well there's your first problem. Good on you for putting Miyazaki way down there though since he's got about one and a half good movies to his name.

Tom Green

Tarantino is alright if you ignore that all his movies are stolen ideas

Nolan>Cameron

Godard and Herzog yes

why? leo dicaprio all cgi shitfests? he killed his legacy

l-mao

Most masterpieces:
> Coppola

Future potential:
> Villeneuve

Future classics:
> Nolan

Consistency/creativity:
> Tarantino

Most influential:
> Cameron

Coppola only made 3 good movies, but those 3 are literally mandatory in top 10 conversations.

Cameron basically redefined the entire industry every time he released a film.

No Tarantino movie sucks, and most of them are undeniably great and unique.

Villeneuve's shows no sign of losing his touch. He's got at least 5 more amazing movies left in him.

Any Forums ofc hates Nolan. But Inception, Interstellar and TDK will stay relevant for decades, if not centuries.

Cameron disqualified himself from this contest when he decided to dedicate the rest of his career to his blue cat people films and do absolutely nothing else. Fuck him, what a waste.

Miyazaki has some masterpieces to his name, but also some misses, just like Spielberg, Fincher, Allen & Scorsese.

this is a terrible list. coppola had five years good. five decades bad.

Aki Kaurismäki.

Tarantino is the best
Villanueva does not have a unique style but it is very good.
Nolan has problems but continues to show genuine love for cinema

Why did you post this picunrel?

David Lynch
Though for how long is uncertain

Fuck no. Silence was the only good thing he's done in years and half of the rest is garbage documentaries. He's fucking shit and does nothing but incoherent sloppy bloated entry level trash.
LMFAO. Fuck no.
He's a good one
LMFAO.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. KYS.
Entry level numale trash. Where'd you base "your" opinion? On reddit?
Lmfao holy shit bad
Nolan is trash and will never be good. He cant write for shit and is even worse when he doesnt have his brother helping him
No one cares about that worthless child lover zip

Something tells me the age of the auteur, as well as the age of art as a whole, is at an end.

Does Godard have a twitter account? I followed Hilary Putnam’s blogspot blog until the day he died. Would be an interesting read.
