the conclusion is a bit unsatisfactory from the perspective that gus is completely fearless in meeting the cousins alone, in the desert. I know they're not sanctioned to touch Fring but Fring would've realistically kept backup when meeting with them in case Hector had managed to convince them to avenge their family.
