Austin Butler was fantastic. Tom hanks was genuinely shit (what the fuck was that accent). I also wasn't a huge fan of the framing device for the movie. Why bother with the running element of this being the colonels deathbed morphine dream? Completely pointless.

The framing device gives the story a structure which saves it from being a meandering mess like all the other musician biopics that have been coming out recently
