Did Disney spend 100's of millions on Captain Marvel tickets so it didn't flop and sink the whole MCU?

They still do it it's why all their movies drop off a cliff week 2

Thanks to the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 they probably didn't have to, the money probably came from the American taxpayers for the "national security" needs of pushing the Pentagon's sociocultural narratives.

not 100's of millions no, but they did buy a lot. Captain Marvel was meant to become the new leader and face of the MCU like Iron Man was, but both the character and actress were poorly received by the fans so they have changed their minds.

It was unironically pretty good

There was no actress in the entirety of the world available that would put in the work to fill out the costume to actually look like Captin Marvel. They had to go with a sticc like Brie? Like that horrible miscast they used for wonder woman. Now they literally have no women in the current mcu. What a fucking disaster.

Let's put it this way. The reviews were so bad, that they had to purchase the leading tv and movie review site (rotten tomatoes) to alter the score for Craptain Marvel.

It's simultaneously sad, funny, and worrisome that Disney was planning on Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man becoming the new Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk/Black Widow of the MCU post-Endgame, and now the only one of those four who might still have a chance at the position is Doctor Strange.

wtf is this true

Spiderman is still a massive money maker. They just keep fucking things up by trying to make him a local hero rather than a global one.

All you need is an actress who actually has some curves on her, that's not that hard to find.
>Now they literally have no women in the current mcu.
They have almost exclusively women in the current MCU.

How did Blanchett getting the role of Hela happen when they keep bombing with casting the supposed future staple female heroes? Just dumb luck huh?

>Spiderman is still a massive money maker.
Oh, sure, but now he's in this weird nebulous gray area where we're not even sure if he'll get another MCU movie or not. Remember, Sony can put a stop to the whole "Spider-Man in the MCU" thing, and Sony is retarded.

Captain Marvel was made with the US airforce, basically a propaganda film similar to Top Gun.
