Cuz they're just milking it and have no long term plans? It's just a money making machine where they crank out as many of these films as fast as possible.

They never should have started making all the disney+ shows. Feels like they're spamming us at this point.

why did their disney+ shows fail? the netflix ones were mostly well received (fucking iron fist)

Lost energy because it was always meretricious. Both its average creators and stereotypical viewers are mediocre types.

>meretricious
Never heard that word before, nice.

They have plenty of long term plans, the problem is retards don't understand that and are just like "where's the next thanos??!?!"
Phase four is setting up everything.
Moon knight, werewolf by night, blade, etc is setting up midnight suns.
Black widow, tfatws is setting up thunderbolts
Wandavision, doctor strange 2, tfatws, ant man 3, Hawkeye have all set up young avengers.
Doctor strange 2 set up secret wars with the incursions.
everything is setting everything up, its just more sprawling and not as neat so ADHD nerds just screech about it

ok but can they set it up in a way that doesn't require a phd in capeshit

The shows are just diet-MCU movies spliced into poorly paced episodes. Daredevil was made by people who actually understood the TV format.

if this needs to be explained apart from what is inside the runtime of the films/shows themselves, then from the perspective of mass media it's failed as meaningful setup, which is reflected in the now popular sentiment of MCU failing to capture general audiences. nobody from 5-8 years ago would have expected for a fucking Top Gun movie to outperform multiple MCU properties put together.

Midnight Suns are never mentioned by name, Thunderbolts are never mentioned by name, Young Avengers are never mentioned by name. Kang is about the only explicit thing teased that feels tangible and even then that should have been in a film and not on a streaming service with a fraction of the audience. the only thing keeping MCU from imploding is all the goodwill they've built up which they're coasting on now hoping people can bear the growing pains before something actually worthwhile happens

why dont they count netflix run times? theres like couple hundred hours there for phase 1. also a shitty SHIELD tv series that is official marvel with tie ins and shit.

the shows are pure filler where only in the first and the last episode something happens, you know it's bad when WandaVision was the best one and it turned to shit after episode 4

Not everyone watches capeshit theory videos, retard, you can say that but do I see it in the movies? They haven't even mentioned the fucking celestials that CAME OUT OF THE EARTH, it should be a big deal.
Look back at the early phases and you'll see that all the movies are VERY CLEARLY building up to something, like the formation of the Avengers, and then the search for the Infinity Stones in every movie and then Thanos

It was all cohesive and felt connected, like it was telling an overarching story, it's what set the MCU apart from all the other failed cinematic universes, and now there's literally none of that

The Netflix shows we’re nice because they explored the gritty street level corner of the MCU we never saw before. The Disney+ shows have the exact same tone, cringey comedy and awful effects from the movies.

Most people only liked Daredevil.

I can't tell if you are bullshitting or not but if this is true MCU is legit going to crash and burn. what the fuck is any of that lol

>setting up midnight suns
>setting up thunderbolts
>set up young avengers
>sets up secret wars
So? Where's the throughline? You can't just set up a bunch of teams and make up what connects them after they're together. That's how you lose all momentum, and have nothing going forward.

There were a ton of shows in the other phases too.

Yeah, but now apparently if you didn't watch one of the shows the next movie doesn't make any sense. And that's double weird because despite that "interconnectedness", they're not building up to anything.

because netflix shows aren't part of phase 1 you fucking glue eaters

They're setting up all this retarded shit for no reason since their supposed main goal is Secret Wars which will end in a reboot and only involve multiverse shit and nostalgiabait

Fucking stupid, just a waste of people's time, and they're realizing this already which is why normies are getting sick of the MCU, only the biggest retards are still following it and claiming it's not dead yet

Also Doctor Doom in black panther 2.
