>As I see it, a sex scene is a choreography. I just have, in my mind, some positions. I tell them how I see it, what are exactly the positions that I had in mind, and then they just bring it to life, and then it becomes real.

I think erotic sex and nude scenes are a little overdone, especially when internet porn has been a thing for 20 years.
Sex and nudity can be used to convey so many different emotions—awkwardness, vulnerability, aggression, possessiveness, jealousy, rage, guilt, loneliness, etc—and it can be really effective (like .gif related from Under the Skin). I definitely think that’s underutilized. But putting a narrative on hold just to have some softcore porn? That’s distracting, especially if it has no impact on the plot. It’s bad for pacing, even if I will jack to it later.
there's something about it that's vaguely frustrating to see when i'm not in the mood to get horny lip smacking sounds and such irritate my ears
