The TV show has a lot going for it, DESU. But it feels like a 2.5 hour long movie stretched out way too far. Same problem as Obi-Wan. I think the show is a lot better than the whiners are making out, which might sound like faint praise, but it's true. This show has become bogged down in a political slapfight over Netflix, and it's overshadowing what the show is trying to be, which is 50% serious drama, and 50% shitpost.

Anderson was both a coomer and also extremely familiar with RE. He wrote every movie himself so they hall have a consistent tone. The thing about the TV show is that the people writing it absolutely are familiar with RE. Both games and films. But they don't have the sense of TASTE that Anderson did. There are jokes that don't land because they don't have the tonal chemistry right.
