Character turns 30 and wants to be independent but rents up by 17%, house prices by 45%, inflation hits 40 year record, and he can't even buy gas for his little rusty Diesel shitbox?

Any movies with this topic?

make sure to support ukraine and donate to your local black owned businesses.

just pull yourself up by your bootstraps and stop fucking crying you lazy millennial snowflake cum guzzler

Maybe get a job?

Move to a different country?

I make $30/hr and it would take a fucking decade to save up enough money to buy a house without indebting myself to a bank
This isn’t right and it’s sad that the politicians have convinced people that this is a good state of affairs

>rents up by 17%
>he didn't live with his parents until he's 40 while saving up for a house

Some Yugoslav movies from the 90s probably. Generally socrealism cinema deals with fucked up societal themes but I can't think of any with that specific theme.

These problems are not only in America

You sound like a communist.

This mindset has created the hellhole you live in now.

Does the character have anything else going on?

It's only a hellhole for the lazy and envious.

Wow this is literally me lol

Everyone gets a loan for a house, even here in Europe

>house prices by 45%,
why didnt you buy house at the start of corona? it was clear whats going to happen

Just don't be born on the tail end of the biggest population boom of human history and an incoming century of 70% of the population being elderly bro

>has a car

OP you are literally middle class. Fuck off.

>washing machine
fucking bourgeoisie

It's a 15 year old 1.3 cdti Opel

that's much better than my apartment I pay 40% of my salary for

anything from the 70s I reckon. Maybe something with Bronson

just buy a tesla bro, I can go 300 miles with a single charge

Peak comfy.

>You sound like a communist.
Daily reminder that 85% of housing in Singapore is public housing managed by the state.

>and wants to be independent
why?

Thanks for following the Jews, Boomers!

>it's not right to think that bank loans shouldbe the norm for buying a house
>just get a loan dude

You want to just buy a house without a loan? Your expectations are unrealistic and I can’t believe you are a Tully 30 years old,

I don't see a problem, Americans wanted socialism so they voted for it.

>This isn’t right and it’s sad that the politicians have convinced people that this is a good state of affairs
They've convinced the people that own a house or more so they're happy to sit on that wildly overvalued asset and go nuts with the equity.

Mad Max

literal gaslighting that this is a grim way to live

the flats they have in Peep Show and 15 Storeys High are actually pretty indulgent

I mean, yes, but no.

Yes, it's Russia's invasion of Ukraine (nations which collectively produce 1/4 of the worlds grain) that have triggered shock-waves of food insecurity in the Middle East and scared OPEC into squeezing prices of oil to wring money out of the West while they can. Inflation is a direct result of Russia's actions.

No, in that we wouldn't be hurting from this crisis so badly if wealth concentration weren't the most pressing issue of our time. Think about it, if someone's parents die, they inherit a house, they inherit savings, they basically get a 30 year head start to either buy a rental property or they have more capital to buy a nicer house to themselves. Either way they push up rental or property prices. Meanwhile the poor shmuck whos parents don't own a house has now been put a generation behind and has to empty his savings to pay off someone else's mortgage.

I'd strongly encourage anyone who's feeling fucked off by the economy to read Capital in the 21st Century

You know, socialism isn't when government does stuff, that's the market regulating itself.

they don't know what socialism is, they just know that's what you are supposed to say to people you don't like

Explain to me how Biden is a socialist, because fuck I wish he was

Filtered

>it's not right to think that bank loans shouldbe the norm for buying a house
Why not? Houses and the land they’re on are almost always worth more than most people make in a year. Plus they appreciate quickly so you’re usually better off financing them than saving.

>this is putin's fault btw
If you're talking about this year's economic chaos in particular, it literally is

We didn’t vote for socialism we voted for retardedness.
>bro just stop drilling for new oil bro
>oh no the prices went up how could this happen??

Go back

>wants to be independent
>rents
are you actually retarded?

Hey at least they'll give you a good inheritance
whoops they donated or blew it away on vacations, oh well
