Fine, I'll elaborate a little. Gay romance has a tendency to have more tragedy to it—heartbreak and so on, more so if it's set in a time/place where such a relationship is frowned upon or forbidden. Angst and pining can be common occurrences, then there's the sneaking around, the guilty "We shouldn't do this" in between kisses. Different people will have different answers for you but the emotion is a large part of why I enjoy it; it's different from hetero stuff and offers me something I don't tend to get with that. Plus it's just nice for two cute dudes to get it on.
