Best Scorsese movie

It’s super well directed and acted, and the subject is great. But I get too tired of watching it by all the arguing in the film. For me it gets old, but i understand the film needed all of it to show the boxer’s slow descent to rock bottom. Goodfellas is still his best one and may be the greatest mob movie ever

The arguing's the best part of Raging Bull, I'd say. Still not my favorite Scorsese movie though, I'd probably give that to Taxi Driver, King of Comedy or After Hours. I think Bringing out the Dead would shoot up a lot for me if I re-watched it though.

That's not Silence or After Hours

Raging Bull - 10
Taxi Driver - 9.5
Casino - 9
Goodfellas - 8.5
Cape Fear - 8
Wolf of Wall Street -8
The Color of Money - 8
The King of Comedy - 7.5
After Hours - 7.5
Aviator - 7
Hugo - 7
Last Temptation of Christ - 7
Gangs of New York - 6.5
Mean Streets - 6.5
The Departed - 6
Shutter Island - 6
Boxcar Bertha - 5.5
Bringing Out the Dead - 5.5
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore - 5.5
Who's That Knocking At My Door - 5

>Cape Fear - 8
>Wolf of Wall Street -8
>Bringing Out the Dead - 5.5

Wrong.

You're saying Bringing Out the Dead is as good as those two?

If you're giving WWS and Cape Fear an 8 then yes

>Mean Streets that low
You're a mook.

Woah, you picked one of his more obscure movies to say is your favorite from a critically acclaimed artist? You must be so fucking unique and interesting... you must look at things from a... unique lens...

No regular person is going to mention Raging Bull when talking about Scorsese. They are going to say Goodfellas. Fucking retards, go outside and get some sunlight.

why the fuck was it bw? didn't they have colors back in the 80s?

I hope for your sake this is bait

>The reasons why the film was made in black and white were for period authenticity, but mainly to differentiate it from Rocky (1976), as well as from Rocky II (1979), The Main Event (1979) and The Prize Fighter (1979), three other movies about boxing also in production at the time. Another reason was that Martin Scorsese didn't want to depict all that blood in a color picture. Also, in the book, Jake LaMotta says "Now, sometimes, at night, when I think back, I feel like I'm looking at an old black and white movie of myself. Why it should be black and white I don't know, but it is."

Scorcese movies are so boring and I end up turning them off after 5 minutes of attempting to watch it and just jump on TikTok
