What do you think your horror movie will be about?

I have no clue what to do with my footage. The audio is all over the place and the focus goes in and out for some shots (yes I made a lot of rookie mistakes). I could try to edit it to a song or some monologue.

Hollywood lurks, and steals ideas like DJ Dubbi stole indie music from Any Forums. Any Forums is savvy and knows not to post their kino ideas.

There are no talented people on Any Forums. There used to be a decade ago, motivated guys who got shit done because the community was passionate shitlords back then. Now it's just losers edgelords and people trapped here forever. Go to any hobby board like /lit/ and go into the general for whatever they're creating in there. Writing, art, etc. Go read what their ideas are and look at samples of their work (if they deign to put any on here) and look at how generic and hackneyed each one is, all of it no different from the same garbage all forms of entertainment are already flooded with just with an extra veneer of smugness or meanness spread over it. If you gave every user of Any Forums the same resources and money JJ got and told them to make a serious attempt at creating a Star Wars film 10% of them would make The Force Awakens and 90% of them would make Turkish Spider Man. If you gave them 200 million and resources and asked them to make their own film 99.99999% wouldn't even finished and of the rest 99% would be unwatchable.

If you have the talent drive and resources to make film GTFO Any Forums because this place is not for talented and motivated people. Its for losers.

Got two in my head, ones a generic slasher but I think that’ll be pretty fun to make.

The other is a slowburn about loss, and guilt that fuels this demonic haunting. This one seems a little easier for me. Think the demon will posses different forms during the hauntings which could lead to some cool stuff.

Love that psychological horror! Even if you make a silly slasher I'm sure if you ever have kids of grandkids they would love to see what you made.

Upon reflection I feel the best base to moviemaking is money. If you spend your 20s selling your soul to become a multi-millionaire in your 30s, you will actually have some real cash to throw around and realize your vision. In the meantime you can work on scriptwriting and planning your great ideas.

every film/tv discussion on every website other than Any Forums is a circle jerk over the top 250 list off imdb. try to mention anything negative about films that arent designated to be shittalked and watch as you get dogpiled by dickriders. this place is fucking hell but atleast you can shit-talk movies that are genuinely bad but seem to wave a magic wand over consooomers.

you're better off just burning your pile of money in the backyard than funding your own movie.
if your movie idea is worthwhile at all, get a studio or production company to finance it, or move on.

I will think about what might fit it. I should set aside a day to edit what I have into something that resembles decency.

All of my movie ideas are very day-in-the-life so that makes sense for me (they would have relatively low budgets).

I used lit as an example. I'm not going to list every board where some sad user makes a creator general for writing/art/video games/rpgmaker fap games.

I'm being negative because it's the only way to save the one or two kids lurking in here who think asking for advice of any kind let alone creative advice on Any Forums is good. There is no talent on here. There's likely no talent on any online forum anymore, the talented people are either out there doing it or they're never going to. What purpose does such a thread serve when nobody here except perhaps OP will ever make even a 5 second clip of something? Nobody here has any experience with actual equipment or filmmaking. None have read a single book on directing. The only thing they can do is pitch their dumbfuck ideas which as I said are always stupid and uninteresting or wildly unfeasible to film, because coming up with a word smear of a story idea is easy as shit but no user will ever sit their ass done and actually type up a treatment for it let alone something like a novel or script. It's just a waste of time. If you want suggestions for good psychological horror movies just make a thread dedicated to that, but even then that's a waste because the way Any Forums is set up is horrible for serious discussion.
