just finished season 3, why was the final episode so bad? it doesnt make any sense for them all to gang up on soldier boy (except MM) because the building was already evacuated and if soldier boy wasnt a retard he wouldve shot a controlled laser (like be did at herogasm and when they broke him out initially) at homelander and killed just him, simple as that. but noooo, if homelander is dead then how will we make another season? so soldier boy needs to do a big fucking nuke instead for some reason. and even butcher kept fighting soldier boy even when maeve gave him a clear line of fire by getting him away from ryan. literally everything would’ve been fine if butcher just lasered starlight and kimiko once he saw that ryan was out of the way. and then meave decides that she also doesnt like him for some reason, despite her literally saying “ill do whatever it takes to kill homelander” a little bit earlier. but god forbid he do a little damage to a completely empty building (obviously he wouldve killed everyone, but again if the writers werent idiots he wouldve done the belly laser instead of the explosion). overall it just feels stupid as fuck and its clear that they are just trying to make room for another season.

It's genuinely one of the worst written things ever put in a movie or TV show how their collective target switches from Homelander to Soldier Boy just because of the retarded kid when Soldier Boy didn't even go out of his way to go after the kid and one of them could just hold the kid back if necessary (WASN'T HE LITERALLY KNOCKED OUT ANYWAY?)
doesnt soldier boys laser take away powers so wouldnt have that solved lots of problems if homeland and the kid got hit

The funniest thing about all of this is how the writers thought it would be a cool thing to end the season with Butcher looking in the camera with his "cool" shitgrin and declaring a different person his objective know...just five minutes after we've seen how it means jackshit what this cuck says and that he will randomly change his objective at the end of the season
I agree, the whole point of the season was everyone forsaking their morals/relationships and "stooping to his level" to finally end this shit, and then right at the end they all just do a 180 on all that, and soldier boy is like "what happened to victory at all costs" as if the writers pointing out how stupid they are is supposed to make it okay. Not to mention the whole season was pointless and literally nothing changed.

Since they introduced Soldier Boi, they looked for a reason to made him a villain, and in the last episode, they found the most stupid reason to make him one
they didnt even have a reason lmao, he never actually said anything racist, he didnt want to kill ryan, the building was completely empty of civilians so he wouldnt have killed anyone if he lasered homelander, but even still everyone just decides he is the bad guy. it makes no fucking sense.
the one that makes the least sense to me is starlight. starlight said before that she wants to stop soldier boy from killing the civilians in the tower, but once hughie evacuates the tower she keeps fighting him. why, to save homelander? she literally has 0 motivation for doing this. its ridiculous that this episode got greenlit.
Unironically he was too based for this fucking "edgy superhero series". The actor was as charismatic as Anthony Starr, or even more. He was out of touch with his 80s social views, and the writers decided that we can't make him look good. Season 4 will end with him waking up, I bet. lol

he didnt even have “80s social views” though, like the only scene that couple be interpreted that way is him walking down the street and giving weird looks to gay couples and stuff, but he clearly was just confused and not homophobic because he never says anything homophobic even when he works with meave who is openly bi. plus the 80’s werent even *that* homophobic.
This season was awful in every aspect, expect for Soldier Boy, The only bad thing about him was his stupid nonsense super power which turned out useless in the end. Its like I was watching a completely different show compared to the last two seasons, and this shit has more in common with garbage like Santa Inc. than it has with The Boys comics.
And let's not forget that the truth is he would be even more of a good guy had he actually said "racist" stuff
