I could play games all day when I was a teenager, but I find myself unable to do that now. Haven't played regularly in about five years, and haven't touched a single game this year. Only played one for a week last year. Even old favorites bore me now. Once you figure out the basic gameplay loop, it's just repeating that again and again and again with slight variations. I don't get the appeal.
I just hope I won't face a similar problem with cinema and literature in the future.

You're probably right. It doesn't bother me either that I've completely dropped video-games, and I have zero desire to go back to them.
To be honest, I have watched very few films during the past few months because I've been going outdoors a lot more to enjoy the summer, but I'm sure I'll start to watch films on a daily basis again when it gets cold and dark.
