-Sovietbaijanis claim Iranian history, culture, and land
-Sovietbaijanis promote separatism in our land while denying the same for Armenians in "their" land
-Armenians never did any of the terrible things that Sovietbaijanis did
-Armenians are great people who we get along with and Armenians are among the most loved ethnic minorities in Iran, they have contributed so much to our society and culture despite only numbering around 100,000.
Also, being Shia doesn't mean anything. We fought an 8 year war with Iraq despite them being majority Shia and Bahrain hates Iran despite being majority Shia. Oman is Iran's main Arab friend and they're Ibadhi.
That being said, Iran will never attack Sovietbaijan because it would cause a war with the Anatolian doner kebap vendors and Anatolian doner kebap vendors aren't considered an enemy of the mullahs. Most Iranian Azeris like Sovietbaijan but they don't view their meme state as their country, they just view them as their cousins who got separated because Russians stole them. There is a tiny minority of Azeri separatists in Iran but they're mostly cringy larpers on the internet who nobody takes seriously and everybody mocks.

Azerbaijan views Iran as a powerful regional threat that meddles in their affairs. A popular theory was that Iran orchestrated a coup recently in Azerbaijan.
You could do this with many instances in history. Thirty Years War for example - Why didn't England join in on the protestant side? Why did France join the protestant side despite being catholic? Why did the Swedes treat their German protestant allies so miserably despite being the same confessional as them?
All of these questions have simple, rational explanations that are due to politics

Iranian Azeris weren't "incorporated" or "assimilated" into Iranian society, dummy. They're Iranian people who always lived in Iran who got linguistically Turkified.
The Azerbaijani (Northwest Iranian) dialect of Oghuz Turkish is the most Persianized Turkic language because it was literally created by Iranian peasants who were forcefully Turkified by Central Asian nomads.

Sovietbaijanis are a mixture of Medes and Dagestanis and Caucasian Albanians, most of their ancestry is Mede though since most of them are from Baku and Lenkaran (Center and South). The ones in the North are more Dagestani/Caucasian Albanian, the ones in the South and Center are more Iranian.

Because the whole reason Sovietbaijan exists in the first place is because of Russians. Without Russians, they would've never had their meme country, their meme identity, and their secularism. They owe their existence to Russians. If it weren't for Russians, they'd just be an irrelevant province of Northern Iran. We have no "rivalry" with Anatolian doner kebap vendors anymore, that ended when Bedouin Arabs destroyed the Ottoman kebab vendor empire in the deserts 100 years ago.
