i have watched TONS of movies, and a very fair amount of tv, but honestly i'm not as big a fan of tv as i am movies. it has to be very good, or especially novel, or otherwise have some redeeming quality to it that can outweigh the like dozen fundamental and fatal flaws tv has as a form of entertainment

with the average run time of most tv shows if you watch more than 2-3 episodes you really are just watching a shitty, badly paced movie - maybe 1/3rd of a shitty, badly paced movie actually, depending on how many episodes there are, though. that's my problem, they're all extremely formulaic as well
