1. He is a populist and gas a good propaganda team that does not require mainstream media
2. He is relatable and charismatic
3. The opposition is just awful for it has no other identity besides hating the president
4. He hands out gibs to everyone (a novelty here in Mexico)
5. He has been slightly less servile to oligarchs and foreign interests compared to previous presidents
6. His government doesn't turn a blind eye to southern states which are both poor and full of voters. Unlike previous presidents his administration plans to attract investment in these states through ambitious infrastructure projects (ports, airports, factories, trains, oil refineries) which haven't been seen in decades.
7. He has actually delivered some campaign promises on time
8. He has been on campaign for decades, ran 3 times for office, he has experience and political cleverness
