I'm about 400 epis in and it's genuine kino hidden beneath endless fluff and filler that drag it down. Remove 90% of the gags, drawn out fight scenes and the entire character of Usopp and it'd be 10/10

the anime is kino up until the timeskip, by that time the animation quality and pacing goes to shit and you should switch to the manga

I honestly don't get the hype around marineford, a lot of it is just Luffy running in place, characters just standing around doing even though its supposed to be a war, and when they do fight its just a single clash before cutting away and we don't know what happened. Then you have Ace botching the entire rescue mission that Luffy went through hell for just because he couldn't handle a little banter from Akainu

How do people like this shit? The artstyle is an affront to the eyes. The animation doesn't even exist. The plot is nonsensical AND formulaic. """le worldbuilding""" is cope. The characters are cardboard cutouts, And it never fucking ends.
