The problem of the EU is that it's in a weird position: it's too federal so EU countries lack the benefits of sovereign countries, they lack control over themselves, but it's not federal enough to have the advantages of a full-fledged federal state like the US. This position of the middle only comes with inconvenients, which is why eurosceptism is skyrocketing.
The Ukraine war was our best chance to try to build a common European army that would make the EU an actual world power but we missed it. The EU will unavoidably fall in the next decade.
