How is she colonial though, I thought Britain lost all their colonies during her time as queen and now everyone who's left can leave whenever they want.

Just a planning thing I guess. The official holiday celebrating the monarch's birthday also isn't the same as their actual birthday.

Some weird bullshit about the Prime Minister having to be in the country for the official mourning and travels around the death of the Queen. Prince Charles has been proclaimed as monarch already in some weird ceremonies already. Both in Canberra and all the states. Honestly we should just become a republic

Its not really the time, should have brought it up before Lizzy died. There's not really the impetus for it and when its raised its going to be confusing as possible, base it around the german system or other nonsense, we should just have something like the French system

>Honestly we should just become a republic
why? give a reason

I'd rather be a citizen than a subject

Jamaica and Antigua&Barbados are already starting the processes. You guys are just pussies.

Fuck off.
I want my public holidays.

Its historically been pretty useful in fighting corruption actually. The Wood Royal commission was pretty instrumental in cleaning up the police force and that sort of thing. There's not really a guarantee that corruption wouldn't become rampant without some overseeing power. And yeah they're having an easier time of it because they're culturally not just a continuation of English culture like we are.

No one wants the American system and values you gronk

>can't even wait for wrath classic launch
fucking useless

22 of Sep is my birthday. Thank you Queen :)

Remember when they fought corruption so hard, the monarchy and the CIA couped a democratically Australian elected government in the 70s?

it was for the best

>NOOOOO WHITLAM LOST BECAUSE MUH MONARCHY
>AHKTUALLY IT WAS THE CIA
>WAIT IT WAS BOTH
he had his chance and had another chance and he still failed

Its my dogs birthday too

I heard it was Soviets

>And yeah they're having an easier time of it because they're culturally not just a continuation of English culture like we are.
There's a lot of English influence in their state not to mention the many with Anglo ancestry lol.

We're the same as Canada though. Just a continuation of England. Much of a push to become a republic over there? Seems like if one goes the rest will follow, Australia, NZ and Canada that is
