The Brits conspired with enemies of the Bengali Crown and took over our subcontinent back in 1757. The army general was then installed as a puppet ruler but was also subsequently betrayed and killed. Since then the Brits had plundered and tortured docile, innocent and naive Bengali farmers. Our land was extremely arable, with rivers flowing all over the country. We had an amazing flourishing economy. The Brits literally stole everything while assuring us that they were just "helping everyone out" and used our lands to farm Indigo which ultimately ruined its fertility and leading us to multiple famines. Literally millions died because of that. They finally fucked off 190 years later but not before dividing the country into two and planting seeds of divide between Muslims and Hindus. The list goes on and on, I don't particularly hold it against Brits now or even most Brits back then but the ones that did come here and commit such atrocities and literally just us everything good in this region into making themselves richer should have had to face divine retribution
