Same. He was fine as Gordon.

This.

Morgan Freeman as Red in Shawshank.

same. he came off as very white to me which was a pleasant surprise given how much of a fucking cuck the actor is.

It worked because he literally looks exactly like Gordon, regardless of skin color. Somehow they captured his iconic glasses and 'stache look perfectly. I liked how it felt like a buddy comedy between him and Batman.

I didn't like his "I'm black muhfugga" attitude in the movie, he also didn't do anything interesting, at least Gary Oldman was an actual character

almost single handedly made the film unwatchable

based

Forgetting Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent in Burtons Batman

Like it or not, Will Smith as Deadshot

Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent. He also played Two Face in a later movie.

low-key doesn't hurt that jeffrey wright is actually a talented actor himself with good range, not just some token diversity hire
no one would actually give a damn about raceswapping fictional characters if they would care about hiring people with actual talent to do the job

>Is Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon the only time race swapping a character worked out fine?
it didn't work like at all

>le meme black guy
Quintessential redditcore.

He sucks. The movie sucks.

Jeffrey Wright proves that if a black person is a good actor it doesn't matter. He's not a diversity hire, just a good actor.

>he literally looks exactly like Gordon
This whole thread is a shitpost. I'm out.
