Yes I have realized my abnormalities from a social perspective and not being able to think and enjoy what normal people do stem from my mother refusing me to let me go outside the house or have any sort of normal friendships. I can't remember a single time I had a friend over actually.
While I can never be truly normal I can at least give the illusion of normality and that's what I actually want.

Yes, my mother especially was really paranoid about my safety. Probably due to the Jamie bulger thing that happened shortly before I was born. But funnily enough she was happy with me spending endless time on the internet. I guess she was a boomer who didnt understand anything about the internet or what you can do/find on it

Absolutely yes. I grew up in a village with less than 200 people. Our house was at the very edge of it, and I didn't have any intercation with kids until I started school when I was 7, and then they ostracized me because I was a new face to them. They were also jealous because I was excelling in school so they even bullied me for that. I've never recovered from that, and have trust issues to this day

suburbs are paradise for young children
kids dont get bored like adults do, they can entertain themselves for hours playing with their imagination, then when they get a little older (pre teen) they can play games like capture the flag or other sports, swimming is fun for all ages
its only when you get older into the teen years that suburbs can start to suck and people start doing drugs and stuff
all my pre high school memories are really good, all my childhood memories of playing with friends are really warm memories
and even most of my later teen memories were pretty good but also really depressing at times

i was socially retarded as a kid not because of my parents but because i was a retard. i had no real friends in elementary school because i tried to fit in with kids who were not like me. only recently ive noticed that im actually an extrovert. too bad all my friends are retarded incels so we cant spend time drinking etc.
