/Screenwriting/ General

Share your writing. Others will comment. Linkrel is mine. I wrote two scenes - 5 pages. This is my first attempt at real screenwriting. I'm an ESL so ignore the mistakes as long as you can understand what is going on.

Is there even any point writing a screenplay? Assuming you have no Hollywood connections what are the chances it gets made? Writing a book seems like a more pragmatic choice than writing a screenplay.

i'll try later during american hours

you just have to limit what you write to the resources you have so you can make it.
with zero connections you have zero chance it getting bought.

I wrote an opening page the other day lol.

post it

Why? So you can plagiarize it?

We tend to have screenwriting threads anyway, so feel free to make these on the regular.

yes

No

Everybody has good ideas, but few actually try and make something out of it. Unless you’ve got connections there’s no chance it’ll ever get sold, but it’s about the experience. Like a hobby

Why? So you can steal it?
