The anime fucked it up
The jap live action fucked it up
The US live action fucked it up

We're not looking at a good track record

He needed to expose himself to get close to L.
It was a game to him.

FPWP. The anime is one of the best series of all time.

Please elaborate what are you referring to?

Daily reminder that he did absolutely, legitimately, genuinely, unironically, literally and figuratively nothing wrong.

Why did L assumed that Kira would stay in Japan after being revealed he was there?

youtube.com/watch?v=oISDcl8DmZg

Because he suspects that it's a student as the murders happen after he gets home.

Where is the justice
When the guilty all go free?
Why don't we lock them up
And throw away the key?

I see a young man's anger burning in your eyes

What you see is my impatience
With your noble compromise

Show me what's right about
The wrongs that we allow
Real people need to feel
Protected here and now

This whole damn system’s broken way beyond repair
It's just law not law and order
Not much good and seldom fair

Laws are made for everyone
We're treated all the same

Till a lawyer's tricks can fix the blame

Let the corporations
Make the regulations
And hold no one accountable
When everything goes wrong

Let the rich and famous
Get away with murder
Every time a high-priced
Mouth-piece starts to talk
His client gets to walk

Tell me, where is the justice?
If there’s any justice

Where's the justice?
Tell me where!

Where is the justice

Tell me where!

For all the victims?

Tell me where!

Where is the justice?
What good is law that can’t
Punish those who break it?

It's still a suspicion, it's a stupid movie to reveal that you know where the guy you're looking for is because he can just move away from there and it's not like revealing it is in any benefit for you

no wet hair kek
but hot

why did it fall off so hard after the first half bros?

found the redditor

it didn't

>Episodes 1-25
>first half

By first half I mean right up to the point where L dies

He dies in episode 25
There are 12 episodes after that
If you can do basic math you can understand that 25 is not half of 37 not even close

That helps his point, if anything. It falls off so hard after L dies that you forget it even happened.

Because they rushed the second half and left out so many things.

>near and mello actually work together
>police team stays in new york
>how near deduces mikami to be x-kira

The manga is much better.

how? I thought that when I was a teenager but rewatching it as an adult it is really fucking dumb. The characters are fucking stupid. This is exactly what people mean when they talk about shows that have "smart characters written by stupid people". The show doesn't even go 2 episodes before they are pulling new Death Note rules out of the ass and making shit up on the fly. It gets incredibly contrived very quickly, but it has decent enough presentation (still love the animation and music in episode 1 during Light's killing montage).

It was garbage from episode 1.

Death Note is the greatest story ever told.
