Yes because Roman Roads have to deal with 12 ton trucks.
They think Roman roads didn’t have educated engineers involved? Pretty sure Romans also didn’t have trucks weighing thousands of pounds driving at 120kph all day on their roads as well

VGH, the roman roads of old...
How come engineers cannot deal with 12 ton trucks? Romans knew how to deal with their world, modernists should be able to deal with the modern world.
The reason we can't into construction these days is because of how government contracts work. It's sleezy as fuck, and most construction companies are owned by local oligarch-esq individuals with political connections who get massively inflated contracts, and kick back the money to their politician friends. Friend of mine's father is one of them. I just hope that one day someone gets him on taxes, but this country has gone to a point where people will defend someone scummy and corrupt just so long as they say "based" things.
