It literally is. Japan imports 70% of its food, some years more. They have nowhere left to farm and a currency that's been perma fucked since the plaza accords. Quite frankly the solution should be this: kill the fucking albatross that is the emperor and replace him with neo-shogun power families, kick the USA out and break all agreements with them, switch to trading in yuans, execute the entire LDP, and make stock trading illegal. Japan should return to a highly industrialized society and do away with all financialization.
