Why did we want Pedro's heart when it was Leopoldina that is responsible for our independence?

welcome to the 200 club

Neither Portugal did want to rule us nor we wanted to be ruled by them anymore. It was more like a Checoslavakia type of situation than Hispanic and Anglo America struggles for independence.

Now on another topic, did you Tugas know that in some regions in Brazil people believed in that sebatianist legend and declared pro monarchist armed rebellions on that basis up to the late 19th century?

Whatever, we own you culturally, you will never take that away from us which makes you our slaves sort of

That'd be correct if you were American

Brazil is culturally portuguese only in language at this point. And even then we speak a hue bastardized version of it.

>we own you culturally
you really don't lmao
coping moortuguese

>owns your language and is responsible for your genetic composition
Lmao we made you like God made Adam and Eve, you should worship us

Já podeis, da Pátria filhos
Ver contente a mãe gentil
Já raiou a liberdade
No horizonte do Brasil
Já raiou a liberdade
Já raiou a liberdade
No horizonte do Brasil

Brava gente brasileira!
Longe vá, temor servil
Ou ficar a pátria livre
Ou morrer pelo Brasil
Ou ficar a pátria livre
Ou morrer pelo Brasil

We should've kept the United Kingdom. There's nothing to celebrate for either side

There are definitely more portuguese people listening to brazilian music tha brazilians listening to portuguese music

Not that it matters since portuguese music is americanized nowadays

Music sang in portuguese
We won

Is this a made up map or did portugal at one point have half of all of India? Holy shit.

moortuguese cope holy shit, you consume all our media meanwhile no one gives a shit about moortugal
you're just bootleg brown spaniards

It's a small fraction of what could've been

Cope

You are also culturally americanized + a shithole don't get ahead of yourself Paulinho

tuga safado pare de jogar lenha na fogueira

The Tuga is right. We still speak portuguese (the day PT portuguese and BR portuguese become mutually uninteligible then they will be two separte languages). Outside favelas, Indian and African tribal reservations, most of our deep rooted culture comes not from modern portuguese culture but from early modern portuguese customs.

They
>speak
>sing
>think
>joke
In portuguese, we've literally mentally and culturally buck broken them

The hell you talking about?
Leopoldina was absolutely not the only one responsible for our Independence.
