which should I watch and which should I avoid
Which should I watch and which should I avoid
All and none
just watch is all the way through, there's some parts that are weaker but nothing that needs to be avoided
>name is Sharp
>doesnt have a stabby knife on the end of his rifle
fucking hack show
Just start from the beginning. They're all pretty good.
Watch all of them in order.
It's even stupider than that. His name is Sharpe because he's a "sharpe shooter". The Sharpe rifle wasn't invented yet.
The word sharpshooter wasn't invented after the Sharpe rifle.
I stand corrected. Damn, that's as big a coincidence as John Crapper inventing the toilet or Thomas Xerox inventing the photocopier.
I can't believe my dad told me that the term "sharp shooter" was named after Sharpe and his troops when I was a kid. I literally believed this for years after.
Don't feel bad. There are a lot of people who think that Wellington tried to raise a unit of longbowmen to fight Napoleon. Bernard Cornwell made that up too.
Historically inaccurate stupid farb fest
For me, it's Leroy.
kek what's the context? Cause she's ugly? He's already taken?
Because gold > pussy
one of the few officers to not be killed by Sharpe's curse
true, in the long term gold can get you pussy, pussy won't get you gold
I loved Bernard Cornwellkino when I was 13-15, I read all of Sharpe and all of the Last Kingdom(to where it had gotten to at that point).
It's basically shonen anime though, it's juvenile historical male power fantasy. Doubt I could get through it today.
I enjoyed all of it. I don't like James Bond but it's similar the way it is written
Try Conn Iggulden
P.S. The Last Kingdom show is dogshit but Sharpe is kino.
>Scottish shite intensifies
>juvenile historical male power fantasy
nothing wrong with that
Didn't Sharpe's wife get raped? That not much of power fantasy if you ask me.
>from America, sir?
>no sir, I'm from Kentucky.
What did they mean by this?
It's just build-up for sweet, violent vengeance. Bernard LOVES rape vengeance stories.
