2, 6 and reboot.

Watch them in order up until 6 and then stop

7 is bad, it's Carrie vs Jason but they didn't have the rights to Carrie

8 is Jason on a boat and bad

9 isn't even really Jason

X is fun

The remake is alright too

1-4, 6, 7, FvJ

What cover is that by the way?

I grew up loving those movies, I thought they were fucking hilarious, but I don't think any of them have really held up. They're just too corny.

The reboot is pretty bad ass though, aside from the shit ending.

3D is generally a fan favorite as well.

It says it right there

4 definitely holds up. By far the best F13 movie.

is this the only horror franchise where the reboot is one of the best movies?

I think Parts 2 and 3 have more appealing supporting casts compared to 4.

No. It's the same for Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Just watch them all. They're short as fuck and just mindless shit. It has 2 or 3 movies that are dumb, like Jason on a boat and Jason's spirit goes into other people's bodies.
The remake is a pretty good slasher.

>no 5
I’ll die on the this hill, A New Beginning is pure sleaze kino. Loads of gore and T&A, directed by a coked-out porn director. A good old fashioned fun, mean-spirited horror movie. Stop being a dad just because it wasn’t the real Jason.

5 gets shat on way too much

>7 is bad, it's Carrie vs Jason but they didn't have the rights to Carrie

I was scared to shit by 7.

First ever videotape, horror movie, F13 I rented by myself when I was 11, gave me nightmares, Corey Feldman is kino, the basement scene is horrifying by all standards past and present, where in the dim shadows the handsome wanderer is calling for the girl and her brother to just run away while Jason works on him.

1st through 4th are the foundational films. These are also the films which the 2009 reboot takes its cues from, hence why many people love the reboot. The 4th film is also the first part of the Tommy Jarvis trilogy of films in the series. He's someone they tried to set up as the future new Jason, but he kept becoming a hero.

5th has a different villain, but is part 2 of the Tommy Jarvis trilogy.

6th has Jason returning as an undead force of nature. This is part 3 of Tommy Jarvis trilogy. You can really stop here if you're tired of the movies' format.

After 6, Jason gets a new stunt actor, Kane Hodder. Now while his films are regarded as the worst films in the franchise because of how derivitive they are, he's regarded as the best Jason because of how menacing and physical he portrays the character. But still, you could skip 7 through X and jump to FvJ.

7 is the psychic girl movie (this movie had my personal favorite cast of teens). This movie also has one of the best Jason outfits, the costume designers combining all the damage he had sustained in past films into one design. He looks worn and tattered and it's great.

8 ruins all of that. Promises New York and gives you Vancouver. But it has my favorite kill with Jason boxing.

9 is Jason becomes a parasite. Its most memorable moment is at the end when it gives you a teaser for the fight with Freddy Krueger.

X is Jason in space. Late 90s scifi cheese at its finest, including cyborg nanomachines zombie Jason.

Freddy vs Jason is the only one you need to see besides the first four. It's the cultural peak of the American Empire.

Friday the 13th (2009) is worth watching if you liked the original four or whole series. If you didn't like any of them, skip it.

Jason X should be remade ala Terminator in Space.

Hills Have Eyes remake was well liked. Horror genre is the genre that is oversaturated in almost any decade.

>6 then stop
>X is fun
Why stop when there's fun?

3D is fucking GREAT in 3-D! I watched the 3D blu ray on my PSVR (in IMAX size!) and it was an absolute BLAST! Made me wish more 80's horror was done in 3D. I highly recommend it to everyone if they have the chance.

No, that would be Rob Zombie's Halloween. Even better is Zombie's Halloween 2. The Gold Standard of reboots!
