Might be Scorsese's best work, definitely his most mature.

the weird facial CGI and de niro's old man movements made me question the first half, but the like last third was incredible and made up for everything else
Terrible movie.
Go ahead, tell them what you told me while you were eating your ice cream like some fucking king
wrong
Scorsese's crowning achievement despite the deaging detail. It's a movie that effectively closes the chapter on a generation and an entire genre. It's very moving, not least because instead of being maudlin the story is interspersed with hilarious scenes as well as blunt, matter of factly info about how and when the real life characters died, most of them murdered. It feels very honest.
The Irishman has a dignified approach to the passing of time and it is probably the last time a really stellar ensemble cast will work together in the history of cinema since the following generations of actors don't even come close to the level of Pesci, DeNiro, Keitel, Pacino etc.
Nah user, Netflix movies always have that hard to describe, "ism" that's just gross...oh wait it's brainwashing and propaganda I was thinking of my fault.
The Irishman has nothing to do w Netflix shitty standards because Scorsese had complete creative freedom.
>"mafia bad"
>brainwashing and propaganda
I don't think of the irishman as a netflix movie, I think of it as a Scorsese movie that used netflix in order to get made

Unironically KINO.
does anyone have the image that tells you how to break it up into a miniseries? i can't be arsed to sit down for a 4 hour movie
You makin a point posting like that? This is how you post on a blue board?
>vines
look at grandpa over here
You might be a fucking idiot
a forgotten disappointment
Movie is too long. Has too many really fucking old people pretending to be young even for a Scorsese movie. Pesci playing a young man in Goodfellas and Casino was stupid 30 years ago and it's 3 times as jarring in the Irishman.
Don't get me wrong there's a lot to enjoy about the Irishman but it's really flawed.
Pesci, Deniro, and Keitel are good, but Pacino is an absolute clown.
