I have a soft spot for found-footage, but I feel like I've seen every good or decent one. Kind of sucks.
Wait until September, then we can get comfy.
Man is the true horror
>alien subgenre
>no vampire subgenre
>no werewolf subgenre
what did op mean by this?
Me too, I check the found footage archive every couple of months just to see if anything new might have come out. I wish /ffg/ would start again.
If anybody has any psychological horrors they'd recommend - I'm all ears, I'm sure I've seen a few but none are coming to mind.
It's official, zoomers don't care for horror
Alex Garland's shitty take
>Waiting until September when its climate/atmosphere is nearly identical to July/August
I liked Men (2022).
I just wish it had more going on.
Feels like you're just reaching the second act and then shit hits the fan and it's over 20 min later.
Have you seen the movies that branch out from the ff format?

I hated it because of the utter mediocrity of the script.
Cinematography was fine, likewise Jessie's acting (the other actors were hammy and badly directed- Rory was uneven and often cartoonish w the multiple characters).
There's ultimately no story-- it really boils down to a shitty "all men are bad" nonsense.
The fact that Garland tried to cover up his lack of imagination with distractions (folk horror elements, clumsily bringing up green man/sheela na nig, quoting Homer/Yeats etc) shows how mediocre the movie really was.
Worth watching? Yes as long as you do not pay for it.
Interesting.
Rory was the highlight for me.
I thought he did a good job with all of the characters except maybe the little kid.
Geoffrey is best boy.
>alien subgenre
for chads
>no vampire subgenre
for women and flaming fags
>no werewolf subgenre
gay furry shit
Ironically, he was at his best when he reined himself in (cop, for instance, or the initial clumsy witticisms of the house's owner) but he wasn't properly directed in other scenes. The characters become more and more cardboard and overboard. The friend and the black guy were terrible too. Again, director's fault.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! THAT SCARY NIGGA FACE POPPED UP ONTO THE SCREEN AND I SHAT MYSELF!!!! AAAAA!!!!! SO SCARY!! I LOVE HORROR
Fuck you Claire you fucking whore
Too many of them follow the exact same format. Wekufe just become widely available and it follows the same exact beats as Blair Witch and Willow Creek and every other FF that's exactly like Blair Witch.
>start watching horror movies in october
>can't stop on 31st, watch them at least for 1-2 more months
Every time. Anyone else like this? This is what I watched last year. Thoughts? (Chronological order: left to right, top to bottom, I rewatched Night of the demons on Halloween...kind of).
The thing is: for those of us who've been watching horror movies for a while, in order to make these generals fresher we have to
-talk about the odd new release that's worth watching despite woke elements
-the obscure stuff being released by boutique labels
Actually the image was very hard to notice it only appeared for half a second the colors had to be inverted and color corrected
