Any more movies with vibrant color schemes?
Nope that was the only one
What is that movie?
seems like dishonest kino
sauce?
Kagemusha
Ran>Kagemusha. Kurosawa himself said so.
The redpill is that if there's no plot or if it sucks all those stills become meaningless and you retroactively start to hate something beautiful.
Good thing it has a well told story then.
here have the webm
I'll download it. Thanks for the recommendation.
The tree of life
Why did Kurosawa just use the same setting over and over?
Japan?
Well, feudal Japan. Feudal Japan with at least one (1) samurai.
He made stuff in contemporary japan as well
I gueeeeess, Ikiru is like the one anyone ever talks about but that's not his fault
He used several different centuries in his samurai films. Yojimbo and Red Beard take place in the 1800s for example. Seven Samurai is in the 1500s and Rashomon in the 700s. This of course wouldn't be very noticeable to the average western viewer with little knowledge of Japanese historical periods.
