The last Paul Resner scene pretty much dashed any hope of SB being anything more interesting than "just another supe cunt". It was so on the nose it felt like they added that scene at the last minute just to make sure the audience would hate him.

I want to see a Soldier Boy backstory where he wasnt afraid for himself but these kids who get drafted. He stays young and these kids go from being peers to people who could be his children or grandchildren and seeing them get hurt and fucked up gives him emotional problems which is why he uses drugs.
It is too JEWISH they way they want to backpedal him to being some fraud or wannabe.

Even Homelander has a sympathetic backstory (constant experiments as a kid, no family, treated as an object rather than a person) that makes his behavior understandable. Why can't Soldier Boy have one?

the show is compelling until you have a break. Then you realise that in the boys world there is basically 0 crime because insanely strong super heroes will kill you if you commit one. Even low level purse snatching puts you face to face with mega strong supes.

So what, the super hero culture is cultivated by a big corp and sometimes collateral happens. Clearly not enough to do much about it.

because they don't want him to be likeable. the writers already had their chance of giving us information about his past through mindstorm. it would've been so much more interesting to see what soldier boy's nightmare looks like. he even had his moment where the viewer's supposed to feel compassion for him when he vents to hughie about fighting for his country and being forgotten. and then they ruin that and basically say "nope that never happened, he actually made that all up"
