Where are they going with SB? He's shown to be a complete violent asshole in Noir's flashbacks, but he was mostly OK with Hughie, the worst he did was punch him when he accused him of not really having fought in WW2. At the very least betraying him and going behind his back to teleport the telepathic guy would have counted as "betraying your fellow soldier", probably worse than Noir saying a few whiny things to him.

It was, when there wasn't a clearly obvious solution. Like if taking in Compound V killed you 99% of the time and save you random superpowers 1% of the time, losing your powers would suck.
But if characters are, in-universe, deciding to get their powers back, safely ingesting Compound V and getting these exact same powers back immediately, then yes.
