This. I think Kimiko's regeneration is so powerful that instead of getting destroyed, she was just de-powered. That's why it's weird to me that people call it a de-power beam when it's meant to kill and likely only de-powers when the target is too strong. It would de-power Homelander instead of killing him, for example.
