So what should I watch/read/play if I want to know more about the separatists? All those organizations like Banking Clan and Trade Federation and Techno Union seemed really cool, yet they were only a small part of the movies.
Also recommend something giving backstory to Grievous, Dooku and Sifo Dyas.
I'm talking obviously only about the old canon.

Today I'll remind you that the antagonist of Solo could have been an interesting looking alien, but the writers were squicked out by an image of Emilia Clarkle fucking a bird. But Lando fucking a robot was totally fine, and needed to be put into the movie.
