Actually it will be interesting to observe because never in history have we experienced a process of gradual depopulation, so far countries only kept growing. Now we will be able to examine what happens when they lose population and if it's generally beneficial or detrimental to the state

If you really want to away from people, there is Kainuu and Lappi(Lapland) regions. Population density in Lapland is 4,6/sq.mi and in Kainuu it´s 8,3/sq.mi. Population density in the UK is 782/sq.mi.
