The first episodes were fun and I liked the strained relationship between Durin and Elrond. Great way to show how elves can be high on their own farts and can't comprehend the perspective of non-immortal "lessers". But it annoyed me to no end that Durin's wife didn't have a beard.

Except it's kinda strange how every medieval town has a black guy. I would have expected that in a low-tech setting, where travel is time consuming and expensive, that you'd see black nations, white nations, asian nations, etc, but instead it's this toronto-esque ethnic collage in every minor village.
