It can go from one of the best places on Earth to creepy to downright hellish very fast. It’s certainly worth seeing. The architecture is far more vast and impressive than any photos might suggest.

And it was also very ugly, graffiti everywhere, trash on the streets, shitty smells occasionally, bums sleeping on the streets, Chinese tourists, the list goes on, and the shitty weather didn't help. All I can tell you is that I went to several places in Spain before and after and it was not nearly as bad. Not even close to the same level of filth and apathy from locals

I think it would be great to live here with a lot of money in the posh areas. As an average earner - not so much. Very expensive real estate anywhere that’s nice and not dangerous.

I have also been to NYC, Miami, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, San Antonio, and various other metropolitan cities across the US. None were as bad except LA

Oh, extremely walkable. They have a green mayor that hates cars, introduced electro busses and introduces bike lanes.

Paris minus the suburbs is very safe for the most part. Police everywhere, tourists and rich people, low proportion of blacks actually. The suburbs and northern outskirts are another story, they are very unsafe indeed.
And I found it no dirtier than an average street.

Some sidestreets do indeed smell of piss as the rumors say, but only they. Because people can’t hold it in. The metro smells a bit like sweat.

Well I didn't say they were all massive. NYC was better than Paris but the architecture wasn't as nice obviously. There's more to a place than its architecture regardless, art museums in Paris were nice but that's about it
