Well, it is funny now, one year later...
Australia did not get the submarines it had ordered (and they had to pay massive cancellation fees to American companies for the weapons and French shipyards for the subs).
They did not get US submarines either (America needs all they have now that China is moving to the Solomons).
And they don't even have definite plans for the future.
South Korea (who sniffed out a market) approached them to build subs for them. That's Australia's best bet at the moment.
Meanwhile, France, depicted in the water in that pic has eleven recent submarines, all nuclear, one of them being brand new, with several more under construction, more ordered, and is working on the future class already.
