Who would Any Forums vote for in Québec's upcoming elections?
From left-wing to right-wing
>Québec solidaire (QS) Extreme-left socialist party. Very popular with the youth and minorities. Technically is pro-independence but it's very low-key. They're not very nationalist. It has been steadily gaining popularity in the last 20 years. Projected to have 15% of the vote.
>Parti québecois (PQ) The historic pro-independence party who was in power during the two referendums. Very unpopular with the anglophone minority. Generally is socially and economically progressive but is nationalist first and foremost, unlike QS. They've been losing voters to QS and CAQ. Projected to have 10% of the vote.
>Parti libéral du québec (PLQ) Center-right party, the historic pro-federation (AKA anti-independence) party. They're socially left-ish, economic right, very pro minority. Basically they're neo-liberals. They're very unpopular with francophones. They're the least nationalistic party. They're still somewhat popular with the anglophones and other minorities. They're losing the minority (including anglos) votes to QS and francophone federalist votes to CAQ. Projected to have 15% of the vote
>Coalition avenir québec (CAQ) Another center-right party. It has been founded fairly recently. It's made up of former members of the PQ, PLQ and ADQ (defunct right-wing party). They're fairly nationalist but against independence. Very popular with francophones. They're regarded as a "boomer" party. Will almost certainly win the elections again. Projected to have around 42% of the vote.
>Parti conservateur du québec (PCQ) Right wing party. Was completely unknown until 1.5 years ago. They're generally libertarian. They're anti-independence and not nationalist. They're popular with the anti-vax crowd. Projected to have around 15% of the vote.
Don't Quebeckers want independence ? Every single one of them I've ever talked to gets incredibly pissed whenever I remind them they're still part of Canada.
Cameron Lewis
>Very popular with the youth and minorities. Lol you're retarded Minorities vote Liberal first and foremost and some of them even vote CAQ because of Legault's family chèques
Samuel Anderson
It baffles me that 12% of the entire population of Canada can only speak French, how come the Quebec independence movement failed with such a large minority unable to even interact with the rest of the country?
I don't give a fuck actually. Alberta is the only province that matters. Everything revolves around us.
Caleb Price
PQ, but I am libertarian (with an Asian wife)
Sebastian Green
Francophones excluding immigrants are generally in favor of independance to a 60-40 ratio but minorities are holding down the "yes" vote, they're usually 90% against.
>QS >not popular with the youth and minorities I take it you don't watch quebec politics. Are you from ontario or something.
Julian Fisher
Lol your shithole doesn’t matter what matters is you keep paying piggy
Brody Murphy
It will be blamed on the feds giving citizenship to a few immigrants but the cold hard truth is that not enough Quebecois voted for independence.
Logan Collins
Minorities don't vote QS lol. I live in eastern Montréal it's all Liberal/CAQ down there. The only people voting QS are the younger, urban, educated whites.
Anthony Baker
They should just leave this country is a dumpster filled with brown shit. The money is just too good and Toronto need the Saint Lawrence River so it’ll never happen. They’ll definitely gradually be less and less closer to Canada but I doubt they’ll be independent. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had their own army or whatever at some point.
Jacob Long
PQ bien sur, quelle étrange question.
Mason Sullivan
I will not be voting
Michael Nelson
PQ
Josiah Ortiz
So there isn't a pro-independence trad-conservative party. Bummer. A far-right francophone catholic nationalist party would be kino.
Bentley King
The No's won by an extremely close margin. A lot of sources actually expected the Yes's to win.
Anthony Murphy
Catholicism virtually disappeared in one decade in Québec, in the 60s. What it took the French 200 years, took 10 years to Quebec. Political Catholicism is unheard of nowadays.
Joshua Lopez
Iirc the government practically forced the church into public irrelevance overnight by nationalizing every social service they once handled (education, healthcare, etc.)
Gabriel Hernandez
Probably PLQ. Fuck Nationalism
Blake Torres
>pro-independence trad-conservative If you look in tiny parties with less than 100,000 votes there's probably one lol
