The worst culinary region in the world. Food's Dark Continent, known for its crimes against cuisine. A place where all that is enjoyable about eating is drowned in sauerkraut stews, cabbage rolls, pickles and soups with hardboiled eggs floating around in them. A place where going vegetarian is just as terrible as eating the shit-tier local meat. Don't. Go. There.

Caucasian cuisine is top tier and severely underappreciated outside exUSSR

balkan cuisine is just turkish/arabic, so it's pretty good.

>he says while eating his mystery minced meat kofte instead of a proper prime cut of steak like Westerners do

>Savory food is.... Le bad
Thirdie-tier opinion.

What have they even got? Khachapuri and shishkebab, and...? When I was in CZ, I noticed that the restaurants that targeted the many Russians that live/visit there specialised in apparently beef shishkebabs with a side of buckwheat kasha. It was a weird pairing.

Today I ate pelmeni with smetana, 5 cabbages, an onion, yoghurt and cheesy bread

I can stand to eat some sauerkraut, but it'd better come with at least a sausage and some Bratkartoffeln, not with rice and minced meat or stew chunks like in EE.

>5 cabbages

Do you mean raw cabbage heads?

Soups, dumplings, salads, snacks, sweets, cheeses, drinks, breads, sauces, spices, a lot of everything

Cucumbers. I messed it up

Man, you made me hungry now...

>Pierogi
>Smaller than Russian pierožki
how did this happen?

steak is bland, western food is bland, thats why le asssiaaan and other abomination food is popular there

Traditional Slovenian food is very bland too, and I like it that way. Traditional Slovenian recipes for goulash (or golaž, as we call it) don't even include paprika.

I like Ukrainian cuisine

I tried making borscht, and it tasted great, but to you have any other recommendations? I was interested in Ukrainian cuisine, but in the end didn't put much effort into learning about it so I don't know what else I could make

the only edible pierogis are the mushroom ones
everything fish-related is disgusting scandi-tier poison shit
other than that everything else is just ok with the exception of żurek which is S tier

my dad tried to feed me some Slovenian "cuisine" as a kid and almost traumatized me
no wonder he gets infected with hantaviruses

if bigos is anything like the segedin golaž, then I have my doubts

lel how the fuck did he get hantavirus? he kissed a mouse?

it's a pretty good dish, extremely filling aswell, the taste can vary wildly
it's also one of those meals that should only be eaten while it's piping hot
eating it lukewarm will genuinely make you question your own life
