This show was always for dumb people who feel smart

the show should be viewed as dumb fun, it's fairly entertaining

don't think it's supposed to be deep, its just poking fun

I keked at them taking the piss out of that Pepsi commercial

>jews behind thing on the left
>jews behind thing on the right
whoa bro

>don't think it's supposed to be deep
nah that's him, bottom right

idris elba

you guys say that about everything, this show is 100% stupid fun

>seth rogen capeshit
Kek faggot ass board

>I love it when a big corporation makes fun of other big corporations and faggot actors
wow so based and cool

Lmao Seth Rogan making fun of the Imagine video as if he wouldn't be apart of it.

>sexual assaulting retard stands in for hollywood celebrities
what did they mean by this?

The thing is that South Park was last it's prime like 10 years ago. The Boys is actually fresh. Of course both South Park and The Boys will have it's content dated in time as is the curse of the universe.

>soldier boy being a weird metaphor for covid and covid deniers with the "ITS SAFE TO GO OUTSIDE THERE IS NO PROBLEM" shit
>the cringe blm shit with the supe mindlessly shouting "all lives matter:" and then "supe lives matter!" in response as a stand in for white lives matter

this stuff honesetly is like 2 years out of date and makes me cringe. The show is not unbias at all regarding this shit and does nothing with it's obvious satire. The show doesnt have any shades of grey with this stuff. it has it's stance and simply tells the viewer which stance they should also have via the good characters.
>You shoud be pro blm
>You should be pro-science regarding covid
there is no nuance there. It is poor writing.

Like the imagine video thing. They dont even do anything with it, to commentate on how out of touch and utterly retarded it was, they just copy it 1:1. There is no clever commentary there. They are simply referencing something.

It's clearly about 9/11. That's what Stormfront season 2 intro was about. The whole show is about "super terrorists" aka patriot act.

Yes as long as they don't do a wrongthink.

>Like the imagine video thing. They dont even do anything with it, to commentate on how out of touch and utterly retarded it was, they just copy it 1:1. There is no clever commentary there. They are simply referencing something.
The commentary is the visual. The commentary is that celebrities do cringe shit while pretending to save the world. What did the video do in the world of The Boys? Probably stock price went up and nothing changed.

nah its definently a reference to covid and trump saying there is nothing to fear.

The bit with homelander shouting "THERE IS NO PROBLEM, EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL" in to the camera angrily is obviously supposed to be a reference to trump saying this stuff in the height of covid.

Again i think this kind of commentary is dated and cringe but it is what they're going for it seems. Stormfront was simply a weird and poorly executed take on how a lot of internet culture is dressed up facisism with memes. With references to Any Forums etc and 'stormchasers'.

Honestly the satire in the boys is really on the nose and shallow. The show gets applauded for having it at all but it isnt well thought out or interesting in the slightest. Everything it presents is one dimensional and is a twisted strawman of reality in order to fit the writer's agenda. Which is not at all the point of satire.
