land is expensive specially farmable land, same with the cost of water, sewage, plumbing and roads. if the goal is to sell key ready houses then this is how its done. cost is spread out over many units so its not that expensive.
the other way is to sell plots of land and let people build their own houses, that would make 4-5 plots and houses by our standards and the initial cost of land and infrastructure would be significantly higher per plot.
whats better, a house you cant afford or a pod you can?
