Just because they are similar doesn't mean they are the same language.

They all have a 70-80% vocabulary overlap and basically identical grammar.

As in? The fact that it often has several words meant to have the same meaning but are used in different contexts makes english have a lot of variety and makes it broad enough to express stuff with more precision

I had an Indian friend who said he spoke 6 languages not including English. Pajeets are way worse in this regard.
you're north african.
Yeah, but the grammar is still reeeaally easy compared to most languages.
The only hard part is learning the stupid amount of phrasal verbs that exist, but even then you can still get a lot of them from the context.
Seethe, eol NIGGER.
They took words from feench because it was considered classy and a lot of the academia in the middle ages was centralized arround the church, which had a bigger grasp in france., not because making up a word yourself is hard.
English and French are mutually unintelligible. You can pick out a few cognates here and there, but generally you won’t know what the fuck is going on. They’re both also somewhat idiomatic languages, which doesn’t help.
english, dutch, danish, norwegian, swedish, etc
all extremely easy to learn if you know one of them
so this excuse doesnt really work for us (altho english is the only one of these languages with good literature so theres literally no reason to learn scandi languages, much better to learn german)
>dutch, danish, norwegian, swedish
Isn't it kinda hard to find people to practice it with though? Cause most people from those countries speak decent to great english.
