The prequels have their flaws when it comes to their acting, and the choices Lucas made when it came to presenting characters interacting with each other but when it comes to the technical feats they were able to achieve, the world building and the overall tragedy of Anakin Skywalker they did a good job in my opinion. Episode III is right up there with the OT, and blows anything Disney's ST away effortlessly. It essentially revived Star Wars after being dormant for over 20 years, sure there were the novels, books and some video games but it wasn't till the PT that Star Wars blew up again. It spawned some of the best videogames, the clone wars miniseries as well as some of the CG Clone Wars episodes are amazing.
What has Disney done with Star Wars? It fucking tanked the sequels, it ruined the one good original show it had and its just milking the dead husk of Star Wars for 'member fuel while audiences are growing tired of it.
