They still do training, yeah day to day it's pretty chill but a few times a year they end up working 24/7 for weeks on end in the bush in extreme heat and hold and that's the counter to the average work day being pretty relaxed for combat arms. No one will take a job where they work 10 hours a day im a factory and then get thrown into the woods for weeks at a time with little sleep then go back to factory at the end, military don't get overtime so it would be a pretty raw deal.
