The road unironically looks worse in condition than 100+ years prior. Things were really made to last in the olden days.

America is literally a post-apocalyptic hellhole

>opressive, imperialist (roman) inspired, chudcel architecture that reeks of opression, exploitation and cultural genocide

>bottom: clean, inoffensive, eficcient, ecological, inocent and soft hearted nature that recalls no crime against no one and is disposed to peoples good.

It had 1000 times less car traffic. Semis especially obliterate roads.

I never knew that American cities were firebombed by the Japanese. It's nice to see them recovering.

Funni cause my country has insane amounts of lorries and private traffic and the roads are just fine. It's called ACTUALLY INVESTING TAX MONEY IN INFRASTRUCTURE

They were demolished.

for what purpose?

We invest money infrastructure, just the wrong infrastructure. If we privatized absolutely everything and stopped gov restrictions on developers market the market would naturally move towards walkable urbanism and rail becuase it’s by far what’s most economical and efficient

Classic story.
>small town grows into boom town
>boom town era ends
>people all move away to different city
>old city just sits and rots
>vagrants, hobos, drug dealers etc move into the old area
>buildings get demolished to stop it growing into an even bigger cesspool
A lot of places in America are like that. A few YouTube channels do some history videos on places like this that were big in their day and then crumbled, it's interesting stuff. Usually it's because of the towns main industry leaving (mining, steel works, manufacturing etc).

Your country is the size of some forgotten hamlet and packed like sardines. Just take some of shell's revenue and you're done.

Federal Housing Administration drew up current american suburbia in the 30s and forced everyone to go along with it, the few planners who noticed what was happened were ignored and replaced with R Moses types who wanted to destroy American cities and replace them with FHAs plans

>Everyone wants to live and study and work here
>One of the happiest countries on Earth

forgotten hamlet lmao kek cope and seethe ameritrash

The creation of the mall was the true beginning. The guy who invented the mall was himself very upset with his creation when he realized too late what it had done.

Kansas City didn't really collapse, people just moved out to the suburbs. Stop pretending that boom towns and busts are responsible for all of our shitty infrastructure. Dallas and Houston became the abominations they are today while growing in population, just with sprawl while destroying their traditional cities

there’s one city in Wisconsin or wherever that tore down its entire downtown and replaced it with a giant mall. fuck malls

btw if you guys don’t believe me about the FHA, this is something they sent out in the 1930s, decades before the modern suburbia depicted in the bottom has been implemented anywhere. The new deal gave the FHA total control of the housing market and they used to it push shit like this
